NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is suggesting a break in the stalled negotiations. Hasn't this whole process been one break after another? Shouldn't he suggest something more along the lines of, "Hey, let's get together and try to hash this out for our fans". That's what I think he should be doing.

Marc-Andre Fleury is just a perfect match for the Penguins, giving them steady and consistent performances in net while their opponents worry more about how to stop Crosby and Malkin than trying to score for themselves. Management made an interesting move in the off-season bringing in veteran Tomas Vokoun to backup Fleury. Curious move all around but perhaps Vokoun saw this as a last chance for a cup. Or perhaps Fleury is hiding an injury? Probably not, but this does looks suspicious. Either way, the Pens are fine in the crease.
