DAILY PRIME - NOVEMBER 9, 2012: They're still talking....Cody Hodgson breaks hand....Happy Birthday to Carl Gunnarsson!

2:23 pm-Could there be an announcement forthcoming about an agreement?

Such a good sign that the two sides are continuing to talk.  Who cares if they don't tell us anything as long as it results in a new CBA and soon.

Accordingto www.topix.com, Buffalo Sabres C Cody Hodgson broke a bone in his hand in an AHL game.  He will be out indefinitely.  Tyler Ennis is the beneficiary of Hodgson's misfortune.

Happy Birthday to Toronto Maple Leafs D Carl Gunnarsson!

Later today in the NHL In 30 series- The Chicago Blackhawks!

A small sample of what to expect in the NHL In 30 Series...

The Russians are coming! The Russians are coming! I remember that movie as a kid where the Russians invaded the United States, but these Russians will have a hard time cracking this lineup. 20 year old Evgeny Kuznetsov is close to being ready but needs some work on his defense. Older Dmitry Kugryshev held a lot of promise but only had 14 points in 64 AHL games with the Hershey Bears and has been in the KHL the past two seasons. Zach Hamil is another that held much promise, but at 23, may not have what it takes for the NHL. The Caps did wonders at this year’s NHL Entry Draft by selecting wingers Filip Forsberg and Tom Wilson with the #11 and #16 picks of the draft. The farm is stacked with forwards, so this may be a make-or-break year for the elder Caps.
