The New York Islanders have been in a rebuilding stage for quite some time now. With a plethora of draft picks the last few years, their farm system is stacked with plenty of prospects. The core of the team’s offense is coming into their prime with John Tavares and Kyle Okposo entering their fourth NHL season along with Matt Moulson, so there is hope for improvement for this, the other New York team. The Islanders made some off-season additions in hopes of bolstering their depth and provide leadership in hopes of earning a playoff position.
