There are 10 games today as the NHL prepares to shut down for the Winter Olympics.  Calgary will be at Philadelphia, and Reto Berra has been (confirmed) for the Flames while Ray Emery will be in goal for the Flyers.  They are both backup goaltenders who have not played well this year, as they both have SP's under .900, and have losing records.  But go with Philadelphia at home. The Jets will start Al Montoya against St Louis. Brian Elliott has been (confirmed)  for the Blues.  Montoya has been very sharp this season going 10-4-1 with a 2.14 GAA and a .928 SP.  Elliott has played well for St Louis too with a 14-4-2 record and a 2.10 GAA and a .917 SP.  Go with the Blues on this one.  Ottawa will visit Boston, and Craig Anderson has been (confirmed) for the Senators.  Anderson has a good record this year at 19-11-8, but his 3.02 GAA and .909 SP are not that good.  Tuukka Rask is (likely) for Boston.  Rask is a solid goaltender with 25 wins and a 2.11 GAA.  We like Boston in this game.  Carey Price has been (confirmed) for the Canadiens against Carolina.  He has been good this year with 25 wins an a 2.36 GAA, but Anton Khudobin (likely) for Carolina has been better with a 13-5-0 record a 2.09 GAA and a .930 SP.  We like Khudobin and the Hurricanes at home.  Vancouver will be playing at Toronto, and Roberto Luongo is (likely) for the Canucks, while Jonathan Bernier is (likely) for the Maple Leafs.  Bernier has been splitting a lot of time with James Reimer, but he seems to have the advantage in goal for Toronto.  But go with Vancouver.  The Red Wings will start Jimmy Howard (confirmed) against Tampa Bay who may start Cedrick Desjardins (likely) for his 2nd game of the year Howard has had a tough year with only 12 wins and a 2.64 GAA, but we have to go with Detroit in this game, especially with Stamkos still out.  The Avalanche will play at the Island, and they will start backup JS Giguere (confirmed) in goal.   Giguere is 8-4 with a .2.47 GAA and a .917 SP.  New York will start Evgeni Nabokov (confirmed).  Nabokov is 10-11-5 with a 2.73 GAA and a .909 SP.  Tough one to call, but we like Colorado.  The Devils will start Cory Schneider again today for the 5th game in a row at Washington.  Schneider's 1.88 GAA is outstanding, and he may be pushing Brodeur to retirement or another team.  Braden Holtby has been (confirmed) for for the Capitals.  Holtby's numbers are very average at best, so go with Schneider.  Jonas Hiller has been (confirmed) for Anaheim tonight against Nashville.  Hiller has 24 wins on the season, and his 2.35 GAA is pretty good, so we like him. Carter Hutton will start for the Predators.  His record is 13-8-4 but his 2.82 GAA and .907 SP are not great.  Nashville really could use Pekka Rinne back soon.  Finally, Mike Smith will start in goal for the Coyotes, as he should after shutting out Pittsburgh.  Kari Lehtonen has been (confirmed) for Dallas, and at 21-15-10 he has had a pretty good year.  Go with Lehtonen at home.
