Mike Smith leads the Phoenix Coyotes into Boston to take on Chad Johnson (LIKELY) and the big, bad Bruins who were 4-1 winners over Montreal last night.  The Bruins are going for their seventh straight win as they try to catapult over the Pittsburgh Penguins for the Eastern Conference lead in points.  Johnson has been splendid in his few spot starts and the Bruins should be able to handle the Coyotes with a lot at stake tonight….Michal Neuvirth gets his 2nd start for the Buffalo Sabres as they try to snap a 3-game losing streak tonight against the Carolina Hurricanes.  Cam Ward (LIKELY) is coming off an impressive 3-1 win over the NY Rangers in what was just his 4th start in 2014.  Look for the Canes to build off their win as they battle to remain playoff relevant….With back-to-back games, San Jose Sharks’ backup goaltender, Alex Stalock,  gets the draw tonight against Columbus Blue Jackets.  Sergei Bobrovsky is in net for the Jackets as they try and solidify their hold on a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.  The Sharks pack a lot of bite but Bobber should be up for the challenge.  Expect a low scoring affair….Tampa Bay has lost 5 in a row and Ben Bishop has shown signs of tiring lately, winning once in his past 6 starts.  In this Battle of Florida, Dan Ellis gets his first start with the Panthers, spelling Roberto Luongo.  One of these games Steven Stamkos is going to break out of it….Oilers’ starter Ben Scrivens seems to have found a home in Edmonton as he starts for his 3rd win in past four games.  Ryan Miller has found heaven in St. Louis as he looks to raise his record to 5-0-1.  Perched atop the NHL, the Blues should continue their dominance….Cam Talbot gets the call for the NY Rangers as they head to Minnesota to go against Darcy Kuemper and the Wild.  After an impressive run filling in for the injured Harding and Backstrom, Kuemper has lost his past 2; those 2 against Dallas and Edmonton.  The Rangers will look to get back on track after their lackluster loss to the Hurricanes.  Expect a better effort from the Blueshirts but the Wild stingy defense is tough to get through….The Toronto Maple Leafs are in the midst of their 5-game road trip as they head into Los Angeles to take on Jonathan Quick and the Kings.  Ex-King Jonathan Bernier goes up against his former team for the second time this season looking to avenge his 3-1 loss back on December 11th.  Quick and the Kings have been tough of late, and with the Leafs coming off a 6-2 pasting from the Sharks, this should be a spirited affair.
