NHL IN 30-2013/14: MONTREAL CANADIENS

The Montreal Canadiens were seemingly on their way to what many fans had hoped would be a possibility of competing for the Stanley Cup when they had one of the best records in the NHL at 23-7-5 at the end of March.  Things turned mediocre from that point on as they went 7-7-0 in April, possibly because of an undisclosed injury to G Carey Price or maybe fatigue, but their momentum was derailed and they were ousted in the 1st round by the Ottawa Senators 4 games to 1.  The only real change to occur to the roster for the upcoming season was the signing of Danny Briere to a 2-year deal.  The re
