At the beginning of this season, many people probably believed that Anders Lindback would be the starting goaltender for Tampa Bay.  General Manager Steve Yzerman acquired Lindback from Nashville during the lockout, because he was tired of watching goalies like Dwayne Roloson and Mathieu Garon struggle in net.  Lindback had been the backup to Pekka Rinne for two years with the Predators.  His numbers were okay, but hardly outstanding. Last season he shared time with Garon, starting in 24 games and going 10-10-1 with a 2.90 goals against average and a .902 save percentage.
